Mavka Festival (2024–2025)

Role: Lead Organizer, Event Producer, Coordinator & Festival Host

Mavka Festival is an annual cultural event in Faringdon (UK) dedicated to celebrating Ukrainian heritage through art, folklore, music, community—and the mythical figure of Mavka, a powerful symbol of femininity, nature, and spiritual strength in Ukrainian folklore.

For the festival, we transported a unique Mavka sculpture from Ukraine to the UK, turning it into the central art installation and emotional core of the entire event.

Held in 2024 and 2025, the festival continues to grow each year and features:

Ukrainian food courts, including free traditional borscht for all guests,
creative zones for children (art, crafts, books, flowers, games),
live performances: theatre, vocalists, bandura players, dancers,
interactive experiences such as dance workshops and the guided “Find Yourself” blindfolded session,
art exhibitions, local makers, and access to Ukrainian literature.

I serve as one of the primary organizers and producers of the festival, leading the operational, creative, and strategic side of the project together with my partner Anastasia Nemchuk.

My responsibilities include:

Leadership & Coordination

Full-cycle event coordination and on-site management
Hosting the festival and engaging with the audience throughout the event
Managing volunteer teams and ensuring smooth collaboration across all departments
Delegating tasks effectively and maintaining clear communication between performers, vendors, contractors, and technical crews.

Production & Logistics

Scheduling and supervising performances, workshops, and activity zones
Coordinating food court logistics and ensuring compliance with safety standards (including allergen control)
Overseeing technical support (sound, music, equipment) through delegated specialists
Managing risk, problem-solving in real time, and working confidently under pressure

Creative & Strategic Development

Talent scouting and discovering new performers, artists, and educators
Conducting deep research to expand the festival’s artistic and cultural program
Developing marketing and content strategies, including video production and social media promotion
Hiring and coordinating photographers and videographers

Mavka Festival is more than an event—it is a growing cultural platform that unites local communities, introduces British audiences to Ukrainian culture, and creates a space for connection, learning, and creativity.

Bright Bazaar — Creative Community Events

Bright Bazaar (2023–Present)

Role: Founder, Community Builder, Event Producer & Project Coordinator

Bright Bazaar is a volunteer-based community platform I founded in 2023 with the mission of connecting people, supporting local entrepreneurs, and creating accessible opportunities for immigrants and residents in Oxford and beyond.

The name reflects the essence of the project — a bazaar where you can find everything: services, events, opportunities, collaborations, and support.

Initially focused on Ukrainian-owned businesses, the project quickly expanded into an inclusive community space open to everyone — Ukrainians, migrants, and British locals alike. Today, Bright Bazaar continues to function as a dynamic hub where individuals can freely share announcements, promote services, find collaborators, and access valuable resources.

Community Work & Platform Development

Created and manage a website and social media channels (Instagram & Facebook) that allow users to publish announcements free of charge
Act as a community connector: linking people with professionals, services, and opportunities — from finding accountants to applying to university
Offer informal content support, advice, and guidance for small businesses and individuals
Maintain ongoing communication and coordination across various community groups

Event Production & Networking

In partnership with BIPC (Business & IP Centre UK), I produced the first Ukrainian Networking Event in Oxford, which gathered over 70 attendees and featured more than 20 speakers.

I managed the event end-to-end, including:

full event planning and logistics
curating and coordinating all speakers
organizing catering and venue setup
managing communication with participants and partners
ensuring smooth execution throughout the event

My Role & Vision

As the founder, I oversee all strategic, creative, and operational aspects of the project. I work directly with the community, respond to requests, connect people, and maintain the platform’s integrity and openness.

Bright Bazaar remains a volunteer initiative, but it continues to grow thanks to community engagement and my ongoing commitment to expanding its impact. With additional resources, the project has strong potential to evolve into a full-scale community development platform and event network.

Short Films — University Film Projects

My Role
I believe that a great filmmaker must be versatile. My role changes with every project, allowing me to view cinema from multiple perspectives—from the technical precision of sound engineering and camera work to the big-picture vision of producing and directing.
Key Projects & Responsibilities:

Locked (2024) — Short Film

Role: Director, Producer, Cinematographer, Sound Designer.
Focus: A “full-stack” creative experiment. I managed the entire pipeline, proving my ability to execute a vision from concept to final cut. I built the atmosphere solely through my own visual composition and intricate sound design.

Locked is a university short film created as an experiment in building cinematic tension without a single spoken word. The project explores how visual storytelling and sound alone can shape emotion, guide the viewer, and sustain suspense from the first frame to the last.

I worked on this film as the director, producer, cinematographer, and sound designer, taking on nearly every stage of production.

The script was developed by me and my team, with a strong focus on rhythm, psychological pacing, and visual composition.

A defining element of the project is its entirely original sound design. Together with a colleague, I recorded every sound in a professional studio — from the smallest Foley textures to environmental ambience.

All audio was crafted, performed, and synced manually to create a detailed sonic world that replaces dialogue and becomes a storytelling tool of its own.

In Locked, sound takes on the role of language. It becomes the emotional pulse of the film, driving suspense and shaping the viewer’s experience.

This project allowed me to combine my strengths in directing, visual storytelling, and sound engineering, resulting in a cohesive short film that relies solely on atmosphere and sound to hold the audience in tension.

Intoxicated

Role: Director.
Focus: Pure storytelling and leadership. I collaborated with a full crew to bring a script to life, focusing on character arcs, emotional pacing, and on-set direction.

Intoxicated 2024 is a dramatic short film based on true events, written and produced by lead actress Anna Mayy. I was invited to join the project as the director, bringing the story to life through visual language, emotional pacing, and an intimate, character-driven approach.

My primary creative contribution was developing the film’s visual narrative — shaping every shot, composition, and movement to reflect the psychological tension at the heart of the story. Working closely with the cast and crew, I crafted a tone that highlights vulnerability, internal conflict, and the emotional weight carried by the protagonist.

Despite production limitations, the project became an important milestone in my early directing career. It allowed me to demonstrate my ability to build atmosphere, guide performances, and translate a personal story into a cohesive cinematic experience.
Intoxicated stands as a testament to my emerging directorial style: sensitive, visually expressive, and grounded in authentic human emotion.

My ongoing work with organizations like the Oxford Graduation Society demonstrates my ability to maintain long-term visual standards while constantly evolving with platform trends.

Social Content Production

I specialise in creating high-quality social media content for brands, entrepreneurs, and creative projects across the UK. Over the years, I have completed more than 100 social content projects, delivering visuals that feel authentic, engaging, and aligned with each client’s unique style.

My work includes on-site filming, creative direction, and full editing, allowing me to produce reels, short videos, and event-based content that stand out across platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

I currently work on an ongoing basis with:

Health Cuddle – social content, video materials, and regular on-site filming
Oxford Graduation Society – continuous filming and reels for the Graduation Lounge
T-Beauty / T.I. Beauty – recurring content creation, including short-form videos and aesthetic visuals

Alongside long-term collaborations, I regularly take on on-demand projects: when a business urgently needs social content, I arrive on location, capture what is needed, and deliver polished, ready-to-post reels within a short turnaround. This flexibility allows clients to maintain consistent and impactful social media presence even during their busiest weeks.

What I love most about social content is the storytelling. Every brand has its own rhythm, energy, and message — and my goal is to reflect all of that through natural, modern, visually strong content. I pay attention to mood, detail, and authenticity, ensuring that every video resonates with real people and supports organic growth.
